First Things First

It's good to be prepared, so there's a few things I'll need to know before I rock up on the day:

Tell me about your prep. Where is each of you getting ready (and when do you start)? Are you hoping for coverage of both preps, or are you happy for one of you to meet me at the venue?If one of you is wearing a snazzy dress, let me know when you think you'll be putting it on, so I can try and get some buttoning up, etc. It's also really useful to know in advance if you're doing any first looks, so I can try and be there for that, too.

Is there anything happening during the ceremony I should know about?I'm talking hand-fastings, quaichs, dogs being ring-bearers, that kind of thing. An important one for me to know is if there are any readings, as I'll need to mic up the speaker.

The Reception

What's the plan for the reception?Usually there'll be group photos pretty soon after the ceremony, followed by a wee jaunt for some photos of just the 2 of you. But if you're planning anything wild like confetti, let me know.

And who's speeching?Give me some names and relationships, so I know who to accost when the guests are finding their seats. Also, it's useful to know if there's a specific 'call to dinner' time before the speeches, and if you're doing a line-up to greet guests on their way in.

Will you be providing me with a meal when the guests have theirs?It's not mandatory (though it is appreciated), I just need to know if I'll have to sort my own dinner out.
